Cathexis -- Word of Week

Our word of the week is cathexis. According to the Oxford Dictionary, cathexis is “the concentration or accumulation of mental energy in a particular channel.” Cathexis is typically use in a scientific or psychological context. Before examinations, students may form a cathexis for different subjects as they review their studies. As final examinations approach, I encourage a healthy cathexis for academics.

2. Review and revise.

3. Take breaks.

Aegis -- Word of Week

Our word of the week is aegis. Aegis is a noun that means protection or controlling influence. As students you must realize that an educational setting is a learning opportunity. However, a master student recognizes the broader aegis of education. For instance, the aegis of education enables one to experience additional opportunities that are unavailable for less privileged individuals. So value your education as you gravitate toward becoming that master student with life-time learning opportunities just from the fact of the boarder aegis of education.

Maladroit -- Word of Week

Our word of the week is maladroit. Maladroit is an adjective meaning the lack of skill or resourcefulness in handling a situation. Students must plan their daily routine carefully, but when you conduct maladroit studying habits you will deem failure in your classes. Therefore, to become a master student in college, you must avoid maladroit probabilities and embrace activities like reviewing your assignments regularly with specific objectives relating to that subject matter.

Sensibility -- Word of Week

Our word of the week is sensibility. Sensibility is noun which means the awareness of and responsiveness toward something. As students, you must grasp the sensibility of studying because studying will allow you to understand what you do not know. Many times we use Google search engine via Internet to answer practical problem but studying will increase your ability to realize what you do not know so you will grasp the sensibility of learning what you do not know. So avoid just getting the right answer from Google and seek that excess of sensibility toward studying.
