TRiO Word of the Week - Logomachy

Our TRIO Word of the week is logomachy. Logomachy means a dispute over words or a controversy marked by verbiage. As you pursue your education endeavors, become that warrior who engages in spirited logomachy. Yet, remember such battles rest on the premise to "agree but disagree." Never take a dispute over a topic personal, since words consist as a mean of expressing your opinion as you acknowledge the opinion of others.
For instance, a thorough discussion on local politics is just logomachy so one should never lose friendship with the person who opposes your opinion.
