Our Word of the Week is
Antithesis.
Antithesis means the exact opposite of someone, something, or some idea. As students of learning, one should use their educational journey to learn and understand students who are
antithesis toward their culture and views. For example, when you are in ethics and society class discussing the death penalty you will learn that your classmates may have
antithesis views about this idea.
Antithesis presents diversity and inclusion on college campus while bringing different people and ideas to the table for discussion. So, remember as we go through this semester do not hesitate to learn from someone who is
antithesis toward your ideas because learning leads to growth.
