Our word of the week is viva voce. Viva Voce derives from
Latin where it translates literally as “with a living voice.” Today, viva voce implies
verbally or orally. As students of learning, one should exercise self-imposed viva
voce examinations especially when studying. Even after writing your essays, utilize
viva voce to critique your writing. The more you hear your words, the greater
clarity your readers will get it.
