Don't make the same mistake over and over!!! |
Our TRiO Word of the week is “retrodict.” Retrodict means to
utilize present information to explain a past event. Whereas, the word “predict”
indicates something in advance, retrodict recognizes the present when
explaining the past.
Review your grades so you can retrodict past studying
techniques. In other words, if you want to increase your class performance
change your old studying techniques and engage in newer techniques. Retrodiction amounts to doing the
same things over and over with the same outcome. So as you retrodict any
unpleasant grades, employ newer studying techniques to change the outcome.
